 Shaw Butte is a mountain that raises up out of the valley floor near downtown Phoenix. It takes about 30 minutes to climb to the top and from there you can see for miles in all directions. From here you can gain a good view of much of the Phoenix metro area. In the north we could see the mountains around Anthem and New River. In the south we could see the Estrella mountains. Over to the west we could see the White Tank mountains and then to the east we could see the McDowells and Superstitions. Below are some of the pictures I took while climbing up to the top and then some of the panoramic views.
