This is the pile of rocks at the top. It is getting somewhat large.

One of the most interesting things we found on top of the mountain was this tortoise. I had no idea animals like this lived in the desert, let alone on the top of a mountain.

We also found this USGS marker. It says "No. 1". It this really the first USGS marker placed? Maybe it's the first placed in Arizona or in Maricopa county.

The berries on this bush seemed out of place in the desert. I didn't see any other bushes like this.
