Comic books have been doing crossover storylines for years. A character in one book shows up in another story for a few episodes. A few years ago the comic book movie Daredevil was a crossover with Elektra. In Daredevil Elektra is killed in a battle and we think that's the end of her. Except her body disappeared mysteriously. The movie Elektra carries on her story.

Apparently her body was recovered by Stick. Through mastery of powerful martial arts he was able to bring her back to life. The rest of the story is told in the movie so I won't spoil your fun by telling it all now.

My wife and I saw this movie together. She liked it a bit better than I did. For me it was just not that exciting. There were some interesting action sequences but the whole movie wasn't that moving. On the positive side this movie contained more thought and depth than your average comic book movie. But it was still too dark for my tastes. If you're a Jennifer Garner fan (my wife and I both are) then you'll likely enjoy this as a rental.
