Since I'm following the crowd and putting weight loss down as a goal for 2008 I may as well go all the way and put down exercise as well. Last year I ran a bit over 100 miles for the year. That's not all that much really. Just running 2 miles per week will get that. When I stopped running this fall I was running as much as 5 miles at a time. So I'm going to make a fairly aggressive running goal for this year. I'm going to try for 300 miles in the year. That's a bit more than 5 miles per week.
It will probably be a few weeks before the weather turns nice enough that I can run again. I need to wait till it's at least 40 degress out. It's still staying in the 30s all day long. I'm hoping that by February I'll be able to start. By then I will have lost 5 weeks. There will also be other breaks in my schedule I'm sure. So realistically I think I'll run about 40 weeks this year and that's an average of 7.5 per week. It's a bit of a stretch but I think I can do it.
