We found the cat last night. Before going to bed my wife decided to call for the cat one more time. She started calling outside in our front yard. Soon she heard a meow response coming from the direction of the neighbor's house. She followed the sound and we soon found that cat standing on top of the neighbor's house. I don't know how he got up there but he couldn't figure out how to get down. Here I came to the rescue. I grabbed our ladder and clibmed up to get him. He was scared and hungry when we took him back inside.

After being outside for 24 hours I think maybe he has come to appreciate the comfort of living inside. There's soft carpet, fresh water, and lots of food. I don't know if the cat learned any lessons with a day out in the wild but we sure did. We're going to be a lot more careful to make sure the doors are shut.
