One of the things I loved about growing up in Eastern Oregon was the snow. Every winter we'd get 6-10 inches of snow at least once. It wasn't enough to disable the town but it was enough to enjoy. After moving to Portland I found that we still got snow but not as often and not as much. It was nice to see. Now, living in Phoenix, we never get snow. But it's only about 1.5 hours of a drive to get to Flagstaff and they get snow every year there.
My wife called me yesterday to tell me that it's snowing in Oregon -- too bad we're not there. She called me this morning and said it's snowing in Flagstaff. We might have to figure out a way to go up there this weekend.
