Now is the time to be making donations to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army or whatever location. Most of us have too much stuff. Lots of it we never use anymore either because we've outgrown it or because we're no longer interested in it. So why not donate it to your local charity. This time of year they are especially interested in getting new items. These are turned around quickly and can be grabbed by other shoppers as Christmas gifts for their family.
Get the kids involved. This is a great way to show them about sharing and giving. It helps them break the "gimmee gimmee" attitude. When you and the kids decide on stuff to give away, make sure to explain how the stuff they are giving away is going to be used to help another family and make some other children very happy.
So, despite the overwhelmingly busy holidy season, see if you can't take some time to go through some of the stuff you have laying around and donate it to a charity. Spread some Christmas cheer during this holiday season.
