Most of the time my sweetie and I go here when its just the two of us. If you want to bring your kids, as we have just twice, I suggest you go on a week day to avoid a huge wait with hungry kids. Friday nights are pretty bad even for two because they don't do reservations. Why don't more restaurants do reservations??? Geesh. Anyway, their busyness is a good sign.

TGIFridays (the Happy Valley location in Phoenix, Arizona) would be better if it was renamed To Get It Free. That's probably the only way I would choose to eat there. Most of the staff are young and don't want to be there or they are old and really don't want to be there.

For starters, my kids call this place Red Robin Hood and they always ask to go there. If you happen to go to the Happy Valley location in Phoenix, Arizona ask to sit at Gregg's table (Gregg with three g's). That best waiter ever. He read my mind and brought us refills and extra napkins before we even had to ask.

We showed up around 8:30pm on a Friday night. There was no hostess to greet us or the other three couples that arrived within minutes of us. The place seemed active and alive though and I had high hopes. I'm not often in the mood for Chinese food so when I am I am excited about it. My love's favorite food is Chinese so when we try a new place it needs to be a home run for me to enjoy myself. If it's not at least a double we won't go back. To cut to the chase this palce was a pop fly to right field and a quick out.
