We showed up around 8:30pm on a Friday night. There was no hostess to greet us or the other three couples that arrived within minutes of us. The place seemed active and alive though and I had high hopes. I'm not often in the mood for Chinese food so when I am I am excited about it. My love's favorite food is Chinese so when we try a new place it needs to be a home run for me to enjoy myself. If it's not at least a double we won't go back. To cut to the chase this palce was a pop fly to right field and a quick out.
The hand rails up to the second floor were sticky as was the table. The lighting was dark and not just for ambience. We could see the kitchen from up where we sat and we saw my soup sit there for a full five minutes while our watier chatted up another server. He only showed up when he had to and forgot to bring me a spoon for my soup so that when I finally did get to eat it it was luke warm. The food was ordinary and didn't stand out at all. For a Friday night date night I was really disappointed. However, we will keep looking for a fabulous Chinese restarurant in the hopes that my love wil get to have his delight -- I mean after he has his delight in me.
