These dramatic cliffs rise up from along the trail as it descends down to the valley floor.
Cliffs On The Trail
This picture faces north along the canyon -- which is where the trail goes. It was taken from the descending trail while we were almost to the bottom.

More Cliffs in the Canyon
Supai is the village located in the canyon. A few hundred people live here year round. It seems that more horses and dogs live here than people. Supai has a few facilities geared towards the tourist. There's a cafe that serves standard greasy-spoon type food. There's a post office for sending letters by mule train. The general store has a reasonable supply of basic essentials that one might need.
Entering Supai
This prominent rock formation sits over the village. We called it the "goalposts". The Supai football team will have quite a time kicking a field goal here.
